Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Odesstra collects through odesstra.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We collect as little as possible.
1. Who we are
Odesstra ("we", "us", "our") is a software product studio. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website and act as its data controller.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we collect the details you choose to provide:
- Your name and work email
- Your company
- Project type, budget range, and target launch
- The message you write to us
3. Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes standard technical data, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the page requested, and the date and time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or any other tracking technology. Fonts are served from our own domain, so no third party is notified of your visit.
4. How we use your information and our legal basis
We use personal information only for the following purposes:
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a potential project — based on our legitimate interest in responding to you, or on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To operate, maintain, and secure the website — based on our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and safe.
- To comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements — where the law requires it.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioural advertising.
We share it only with:
- Service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, namely Railway, which hosts this website and the database where enquiries are stored, and Resend, which delivers enquiry notifications to our inbox. They may use it only for the purposes above.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, where necessary.
- Authorities, where we are required to by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- A successor organisation, if Odesstra is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We will tell you if this happens.
6. International transfers
Our service providers may store or process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your information.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we start working together, in which case we keep the information for as long as the relationship lasts and as required by law afterwards. Technical server logs are kept by our host for a limited period and then deleted automatically.
8. Security
All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, and access to the information you send us is limited to the people who need it to respond. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your information
- Object to or restrict how we use it
- Withdraw consent, where we rely on consent
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
10. Exercising your rights
To make a request, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law, usually within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
